The French team has a racing director, who is understood not to visit the factory - an executive director - who does work at the factory and attends some of the races - but no team principal.
"We do have some sort of 'super technical director' in the person of Marcin (Budkowski), explains Alpine CEO, Laurent Rossi (pictured), "who sits in the factory mostly but he comes to some of the races.

It’s been six decades since Ferrari last had two world champions driving for them as they have usually preferred to pair a strong number one driver with a weaker team mate. Last year president Luca di Montezemolo said “I don?������t want to have two roosters in the same hen house”.

Après deux saisons loin du paddock de Formule 1, Fernando Alonso a fait son retour au sein de l'écurie qui lui avait permis de décrocher ses deux titres de Champion du monde en 2005 et 2006, à savoir Renault devenue Alpine. Son premier week-end de course à toutefois été plutôt décevant. Après une belle performance en qualifications, le pilote espagnol a été contraint à l'abandon en course. Cependant, Alain Prost, qui est toujours le conseiller spécial au sein de l'écurie française, s'enflamme pour l'apport de Fernando Alonso.

Mais il a aussi conscience que ce n’est sans doute pas cette année qu’il pourra gagner des courses à la régulière. Ce qui est sûr, c’est que même le point de la 10e place, il va se battre corps et âme pour le ramener. Après, il ne faut pas oublier que c’est toujours le binôme de pilotes qui fait progresser une écurie. On attend d’ailleurs beaucoup d’Esteban. Il connaît désormais l’équipe. On a changé des choses pour lui, notamment son ingénieur de piste. Tout a été fait pour qu’il soit le plus confortable possible », lance le quadruple Champion du monde dans les colonnes du Figaro.
