Vince on recreating the shoot with Sundin: Was a happy coincidence Sundin was in town for this. Hadn't watched hockey before landing here but there were similarities in their experiences. "Was pretty cool" it worked out to redo it in their 40s/50s.

Vince on his impact on Canadian ball/kids: "It means everything, and the legacy is still growing...Even for the Tristans, Corys, Kellys, on down, for those guys to feel how they feel, and the newer generation doing the same...That's what I want that legacy to be."

Vince is getting choked up, asked about when the tide from fans/the org started changing when he returned with Memphis and got a video tribute.

"There's something about seeing those highlights in this building, because that's where it was created."

Vince says he had similar feelings watching Canada in the World Cup and Olympics to the ones he had watching the Raptors in the finals with T-Mac.

A very emotional Vince Carter on how it felt to get the video tribute from the Raptors for their 20th anniversary in 2014, and the standing ovation from fans after a decade of boos.

Carter shouts out Rick Fox, Steve Nash, and Rowan Barrett for their growth of the program when asked about his role as a role model for Canadians.

“I was just a small piece of the puzzle as far as… getting to see Canadian basketball mean something.”

Vince Carter said being the inspiration for the Raptors city edition jersey felt equivalent to Jerry West being on the NBA logo.

“That’s me there... that’s crazy. I look at that like the Hall of Fame. I look at that like a jersey retirement. A jersey retirement is just the icing on the cake… when that came up, I felt like I’d died and gone to heaven.”

Vince on his relationship with Toronto moving forward: "My love for this place, outside of all this darn emotion, I was more than thrilled and happy to, presented the opportunity, call games for this team. You don't accept a job like this if you don't love being here."
