Reminds me of Totti who's never been able to walk the streets of Rome but during the pandemic with face mask and glasses managed to walk freely. I think a lot of celebrities actually enjoy the mask mandate.

Totti sprang to my mind as well. I remember I once saw an article about Totti showing himself in public in Rome. Apparently it was the first time he had done so in a decade, and the surrounding area shut down as people flocked to him. Probably a decade ago or so.

It's weird how well you can still spot people even when they wear masks. I was in a Helsinki supermarket this week and realized I was looking into the cold and unforgiving eyes of Max Payne, or Sam Lake.

I remember I was visiting Rome as a child with my family. I was about 10, and my favourote player was Totti so I got myself a Totti jersey that I wore everyday.

People where screaming «Totti!» to me all the time. I thought it was fun of course. But I cant imagine being the actual Totti, when a little child get that attention just by wearing his shirt lol.

You can twist the hoops around your ears to make it tighter, adjust the glasses a bit and they won't fog up. It's not difficult

Don’t even have to go that far, the likes of Mertens and Insigne cant go for a quiet walk. That’s not to say they enjoy or don’t enjoy it ofcourse, some people like the fame.

Mertens is a mistery to us. He is from the north but he is so different than stereotype of reserved people and he actually lives in the middle of the city (not in the suburbs close to the training center like most players) and often walks his dogs on the main street on the sea and goes to the famous pizzerie and restaurants

what would make some players leave, is actually what made mertens stay for 7 years

he loves enjoying the city rather than stay relaxed and calm in his own place
