Stephen Curry Says He Plans on Playing in
Damian Lillard on the 2020 US Olympic team:
“I plan on being a part of that”
give me LeBron and Curry on the same team
Lebron will be traded to GSW shortly
I shall allow it
Boo this man!!! BOOOOO!!!
Not like that.
Okay fine. Steph Curry will join the Lakers
Boo this man!! Boooooo!!
OK fine both will go to the hawks
The team that has strip clubs in walking
the team that had all time great carmelo Anthony
Who says no?
Lebron and Curry
Curry, Harden, Kawhi; Lebron, Davis . PG13
as 6th man. Klay and Dame on the bench. game over.
If you think Kawhi is going to risk money
and health to play in an optional tournament with Gregg Popovich as his
coach... I've got news for you.
The guy won't play more than 60 games
anymore if you paid him.
Hey wait, they do pay him to do that.
and he counts NBA Live games.
i believe harden doesn't paly for the US
He was on the 2012 team. Is this a meme in
this thread or am I actually missing something?
nah i guess you're right. i read somewhere
in a comment above he was going to play for germany and i was bamboozledddddddd
it's the hitler = harden joke
I mean ... you misspelled play, so x2 pls
LMAO. It took me until just now to realize
he meant that. I was like huh I didn’t know he’s German.
originality of joke 0/10
[Wojnarowski] Damian Lillard has pulled out
of the 2020 Olympics to focus on the upcoming season
Nah, Dame a real one. Lemme FTFY.
[Wojnarowski] Damian Lillard has pulled out
of the upcoming season to focus on the 2020 Olympics
There we go.
One further: [Charania] Dame retires from
NBA play to focus solely on Olympics development
Let's get real.
(RDAmbition) Dame to Lakers a done deal.
Lakers couldn't wait to have the 2020 Olympics MVP Damian Lillard.
It’s almost like it’s a 8-12 year cycle
wear everyone stops caring, we get embarrassed, then all the players go “ok,
let’s roll over there and smoke these dudes”
and so the cycle continues, everyone is
going to play with a vengeance, and then the next tournament no one will want
I swear it seems like at least 50% of the
people who complain didn't watch a single game.
US didn't even look that bad until the
Serbia game. And by that time it didn't matter anymore because they were
already out the tournament and had already secured their Olympics ticket.
They looked pretty bad in the Turkey game
and that was the second game.
I missed most games due to work, havent
bitched about their play. But I believe that statistic
They looked bad against Turkey and their
exhibition game against Australia.
They looked really bad relative to the
talent in that roster. Very few players actually played up their standards.
Dont you think the US has underwhelming
performances every couple years? I think superstars just kind of get annoyed
with the whole playing during the off season thing, until some shit like this
but yeah i do agree with everything you
said, but lets say we won, but it was close (not blow out wins every game), I
still think the same thing happens, where super stars are like "okay lets
do this for real now"
Nah it's just the olympics where players
want to play. It's earlier in the summer and there is way more shit going on in
the host city.
For USA teams, if they win, it's expected.
If they lose, HOLY SHIT NO WAY.
The players have so much more to lose than
they have to gain. At least, from the standpoint of the fallout that would come
from losing in the Olympics.
It's kinda crazy.
Steph has been in that position the last 5
I'd argue it wasn't that bad until KD came
over. It was close, though.
I'd counter by pointing out that the worst
loss, by a huge margin, was the one that happened before KD came over. Michael
Jordan even had to pile on and declare 73-9 means nothing without the chip.
man basketball is weird from a foreign
perspective, in soccer you have to slowly phase legends off of national teams
because they'll always want to play.
It's only like this for America and nowhere
else though. It's because winning in the Olympics doesn't mean as much to
American players because their team is just so much better than everyone else
in the world as long as top guys show up for it. Ofc they still have a sense of
national pride and it's a good experience but it isn't the same as winning the
World Cup for example.
and in boxing you're just an Olympic great
who never had the will/ability to go pro.
Hockey too. Fucking hell. Who wouldnt want
to win Olympic gold?
I mean Scola is going to play until hes 50
for Argentina. NBA is a different world
True, and much of the Spanish team has been
there forever. Rubio was there as a teen.
