Where's the documentary mate?
[–]【利物浦】goofygoober2 762 points 1 day ago
He did a video instead this time
[–]burajin 2094 points 1 day ago
So much for that video.
[–]money_hungry_bitches 1144 points 1 day ago
Somehow looks even more like a bellend.
[–]【波尔图】daxewow 425 points 1 day ago
I don't think he's a bellend, he just wants to win something lol
[–]Fern-ando 26 points 1 day ago
He just won the European Supercup this season.
[–]【马竞】Fiftyfourac 23 points 1 day ago
And Europa last year i guess
[–]zigzagyank 86 points 22 hours ago
So THIS decision is much easier than last summer?
[–]【巴萨】ZDuskFP 26 points 16 hours ago
Last year they won the Europa League and made good signings.
This year they haven't won anything and important players like Godín, Lucas, Filipe, Juanfran and possibly more are leaving.
So yes, the decision is easier now.
[–]money_hungry_bitches 842 points 1 day ago
He conducted himself like a massive twat with the whole documentary debacle, and now he's switching up on it shortly after.
[–]【波尔图】daxewow 555 points 1 day ago
I don't know, he just seems so nice and it looks like he actually enjoys his life
[–]【阿森纳】Gammel_bruger 416 points 1 day ago
To me he will always be the guy that did a fortnite dance at the world cup as a grown man.
[–]SeparatePrice 567 points 1 day ago
I mean, he’s also the guy who won the World Cup
[–]Ndrade 144 points 1 day ago
I’m confused as to why leave now after his shitty announcement last time
[–]【法国】YouGuysAreSick 97 points 1 day ago
It's actually pretty simple, he already wanted to leave last season but felt that he could maybe win something this year with Atletico so he decided to stay one more year.
Unfortunately he didn't win anything and now his best mate is leaving the club so he's leaving too.
[–]【马竞】_a_i33 162 points 1 day ago
256 games 133 goals 50 assists
These numbers in a Simeone system is just outrageous, I hope he does good where ever he plays next season. Thank you Principito
[–]【曼联】Gungerz 4716 points 1 day ago
Godin, Griezmann, Hernandez, Juanfran (?) all leaving
Could be a very big summer for Atleti.
[–]【马竞】MainEnd 43 points 1 day ago
Official: Everyone to leave Atlético de Madrid.
[–]【马竞】PsSalin 9 points 23 hours ago
2014 all over again
[–]【巴萨】Tezemery 2357 points 1 day ago
With Simeone in charge they will be fine, he buys and turns these players from very good to world class.
[–]【马竞】OleoleCholoSimeone 70 points 1 day ago
The positive is that this will go a long way to renewing the contracts of other key players like Thomas & Rodri. Maybe they can finally earn a salary in relation to their ability
I just hope we get our signings right this summer... will be interesting for sure
[–]【皇马】Radinax 1842 points 1 day ago
Im scared Atlético will do some Liverpool shit and turn into an insane team next season.
[–]DoktorStrangelove 693 points 1 day ago
On the Liverpool timeline it'll probably take until season after next unless he's able to replace a couple of those guys with established players who are already in their prime.
[–]【阿森纳】Milesweeman 502 points 1 day ago
How about a Mesut Ozil?
[–]【阿森纳】WarrenAlaCarte 1465 points 1 day ago
Why sell them an average player, when we can offer World cup winning defender with La Liga experience like Mustafi.
[–]acwilan 403 points 1 day ago
Scenes when Mustafi becomes next Godin heir and Balloon D'Or
[–]【马竞】OleoleCholoSimeone 454 points 1 day ago*
As much as this hurts me to the core, and as impossible as it will be to replace Griezmann's qualities like-for-like, getting rid of his ENORMOUS wages could be a blessing in disguise. He makes 23M/year, more than Ronaldo made at any point for Real Madrid.
It's completely fucked our wage structure and is a key reason why we had to sell Jonny to finance the Morata loan, and why we could only renew with Oblak after selling Lucas to Bayern. You have players who are very loyal to the club that are paid way less than they could be elsewhere (Saúl, Koke, Thomas etc) who will feel cheated. You can't have one key player on 50K/week and then another on 6-700K/week. That ruins team morale after a while
[–]【利物浦】Bumwax 234 points 1 day ago
Isn't Simeone also the highest paid coach in all of professional football, by a sizeable margin?
[–]【马竞】MainEnd 202 points 1 day ago
I've read that he gets paid around 41 million €/year.
[–]【利物浦】theorfo 167 points 1 day ago
Holy shit. That's insane!
[–]【马竞】gothminister 26 points 1 day ago
I think that's before tax, so he "only" gets half of that. But yeah, still insane.
[–]Aqua_ow 146 points 1 day ago
For context Pep "only" get 15m a year though he likely gets a lot for being an "ambassador" for Qatar.
[–]【皇马】ericdavidmorris 304 points 1 day ago
He also buys tons of good players that do nothing in the team. Look at all the strikers he has bought over the last 5 seasons...
[–]【巴萨】251 points 1 day ago
He also took over the summer Aguero left who looked irreplaceable, then he lost Falcao and Costa and still did fine without them.
[–]【皇马】ericdavidmorris 304 points 1 day ago
I'm not saying he hasn't done well, he's an incredible manager. But he has one style, and they've tried shifting away from it by purchasing attackers which have all faded out and then they revert back to what they know.
Costa (dreadful since he's come back)
Insane money spent on not a lot of production over the last 3/4 years.
[–]4realthistime 105 points 1 day ago
[–]【皇马】ericdavidmorris 117 points 1 day ago
That's one good shout in the lot but he only played one season for them, and Simeone wasn't really able to replace his production
[–]SicGo 1049 points 1 day ago
Coutinho and Griez swap
[–]Dske 660 points 1 day ago
Coutinho in Atletico's system would really be some funny stuff
[–]rpowell19 1325 points 1 day ago*
"I don't track back"
Simeone cocks shotgun
[–]【阿森纳】272 points 1 day ago
[–]【利物浦】twatvillareal 1203 points 1 day ago
He lied the bastard.
[–]【马竞】itsjuanitoo 1323 points 1 day ago
If theres anything I’ve learned is to never trust the French
[–]Prazza1 1076 points 1 day ago
but he's uruguayan
[–]【巴萨】Ishdalar 1329 points 1 day ago
That's what a lying French would say
[–]kickass1054 384 points 1 day ago
Griezmann is the only player that made a documentary about him staying at the club because of loyalty and then leaving next season.
[–]【巴萨】DirtyFrooZe 149 points 1 day ago
[–]ceaguila84 1152 points 1 day ago
So De ligt, De Jong and Griezmann to Barca, powerful line up yet Valverde will stay and play Simeone's football...
[–]【巴萨】NotAHellriegelNoob 709 points 1 day ago
Ah shit here we go again
[–]gavalanche20 350 points 1 day ago
Them and Dembele would form the strongest bench in all of Europe /s
[–]xtomp1234567x 342 points 1 day ago
Great fortnite team too
[–]tomato-dragon 166 points 1 day ago
Relax, last time a French veteran forward joined you, you guys won a treble. You just need to find a bald fraud as a manager and everything is set.
[–]Good_Kev_M-A-N_City 398 points 1 day ago
Surprised they can fit him into their cluster fuck of a wage bill.
[–]Dawsoneifert 252 points 1 day ago
Coutinho and Rakitic are most likely on the way out
[–]【利物浦】platypus_bear 219 points 1 day ago
I keep hearing people say Coutinho is on his way out but it's not like it's that simple...
Finding a team where he'd be willing to go to and would be willing to pay what he'd want for wages isn't exactly an easy task...
