I love every move Danny Ainge has made.

I don’t love the Bradley trade but I’m content with it
[–]Kingofkings1959 65 points 1 day ago
Well he had to trade either Crowder, Smart, or AB to sign
Hayward. Crowder was on cheap deal and was used as a trade chip for Kyrie,
Smart & AB are invaluable to defense, both would’ve been FA at year’s end.
AB would’ve costed a lot more to resign whereas hopefully Smart won’t be as
expensive. It made perfect sense. We got a good player in Marcus Morris to help
the bench with scoring. The trade out of context, looks like we lost, but
considering all the other factors, it was a great trade. In Ainge, we trust.

Rationally I know it's what we had to do, but emotionally I
still don't love it
[–]Kingofkings1959 5 points 23 hours ago
Yeah, I totally understand. Loved AB man, one of my favorite
players, not to mention IT... but Ainge knows what he’s doing. It hurts but
ultimately whatever he does, I’ll support it.

Totally agree. We have great owners too. So many teams make
bad moves because the owners want to save money. We never have to question the
motivation behind our teams moves.

I loved the trade but thought we gave up too much with the
Nets pick. I also felt sad about Isaiah but after seeing Crowder completely
shit the bed, IT miss as much time as he did and the Nets looking like an
extreme fringe playoff team, I'm convinced Danny Ainge is an ancient medicine
woman from Africa disguised as a Mormon. I just pray he doesn't have my vodoo

Plot twist, he used the voodoo doll to make
u/Blackmanwdaplan type this out.
[–]Blackmanwdaplan [+3] 7 points 1 day ago
Congrats! You've just been added to Danny's collection

He’s fine. I will say that I have incredibly high
expectations of him though (he believes he can be a superstar and contend
without LeBron James after all, he needs to be judged on those standards) and
he’s met them most of the time, but there are still moments where he’s quite
frustrating to watch. His defense was great to start the season, and now it’s
regressed a bit.
What we traded out seemed like an overpay at the time, but
now it seems like a decent trade off. Isaiah has looked inconsistent since he
got back, but he’ll be fine by playoffs, and his contract issue is not ours to
worry about anymore. Jae went from great role player in Boston to bona fide
scrub in Cleveland. I think this really shows how much coaching matters,
especially for players who are not exactly stars. The Nets pick has decreased
in value, which I think is a little surprising but I’ll take it. And Zizic is,
well, he’s okay. Might be a nice big in the future but not someone I’m losing
Overall, I’d say it was a win-win trade. The big key is
whether we’ll be able to re-sign Kyrie in the summer of 2019.
[–]sepotz 28 points 1 day ago
A decent trade-off? IT just came back and looks slow, Jae
has been bad and would be the 5th best wing on this team if Hayward were
healthy, Zizic doesn't get minutes, and the BKN pick will be a decent player
but very likely worse than LAL/SAC. It isn't at BKN picks trade or Tatum-Fultz
swap level, but that trade is undeniably one sided in Ainge's favour
[–]HorsNoises 17 points 1 day ago
Let's not write off IT like that just yet. He's only played
like 4 or 5 games after missing half a season.
[–]sepotz 8 points 1 day ago
I'm definitely not writing him off, I love the little guy.
It's just pretty obvious from a team building standpoint going forward Kyrie
makes way more sense, both age and timing of finances
[–]ward0630 [+17] 39 points 1 day ago
Frickin' great. Kyrie has fit into Boston better than I
expected, especially considering Brad had to throw out 80% of what we did in
training camp after Hayward got hurt. Kyrie is playing better on defense, his
passer is better (even though it hasn't resulted in more assists you can see
that the ball moves when it's in Kyrie's hands), and Brad and him are already
The defense has gotten better despite the loss of Crowder,
which I didn't expect. The Nets pick doesn't seem to be as valuable as we
expected at the time of the trade, and while I love IT I think that Kyrie gives
us a higher ceiling long-term. So I would say that at this time Danny Ainge did
a spectacular job.
[–]sm2016 [+1]fuckthecavs 1 point 10 hours ago
Absolutely incredible that it got better despite the loss of
Crowder and Bradley. Kyrie is pulling his weight more than he ever has, and he
was already a better defender than IT.
[–]Havilandtuf_ [+1]Brad’s Pedagogy is DOPE 29 points 1 day ago
I hated it when it was first announced, but I completely
love it now. I’m really loving Kyrie on the team.
[–]butthead9181 Jonas Jerebgoat 17 points 1 day ago*
I always loved IT, man IT balled out for us but I remember
texting my cousin a month before Kyrie even wanted to be traded. "hey
dude, what if we traded IT for Kyrie." Kyrie is younger, has more post
season experience, taller, can attract more all star free agents just on his
status alone, and his contract has another year where we have a safety net to
determine his worth within our system. Plus we would have been fucked with IT's
[–]wormtownfrail 5 points 22 hours ago
We all loved IT, but we gave up a lot defensively with him
on the court. Kyrie is a big step up, really in every regard.
[–]BG1234567 I am the white Kelly Olynyk 2 points 9 hours ago
I might be in the minority here but I am over IT. The
whining and bitching about being traded wore out his welcome with me. It's a
god damn business. We traded Pierce and KG, we could definitely trade IT. Also
we sent him to his best case scenario. We could have sent him to Atlanta.
Memphis, or Orlando for picks, BUT he gets to play next to Bron. He needs to
reflect on where he was (6th man for the Suns) and where he is now (MVP
candidatea), and thank Danny and Brad.
[–]butthead9181 Jonas Jerebgoat 2 points 6 hours ago
Bro I'm in the same boat as you, I love IT for what he did
for us. He balled out through some really intense measures for us, but I'm
honestly tired of hearing about him. He moved on and so did we. Boston non
emotional trading has worked for years now. For example the KG and pierce
trade, and countless trades the pats have made.
[–]Adriatics [+3] 14 points 1 day ago
Loved it then
Love it now
Both the Kyrie trade and the Tatum got, look like moves of a
genius now. Fultz looks like shit and IT looked like shit yesterday. He looks
Imagine going back in time and telling people that Tatum is
miles better than everyone in that draft and that Fultz is not even top 10.
[–]Easily_Baked [+1]Hair Gordon 5 points 22 hours ago
Only reason Fultz looks like shit is because the dumb fuck
went and broke his jumper on purpose. The rest of his game looks pretty legit.
[–]PepeSylvia11 [+2] 10 points 1 day ago
Right from the get-go, it was clear this was an amazing
trade for us. It's just people here not only got attached to IT, they got
attached to that Nets pick. But if you saw the long-term benefits, every single
aspect of the trade was wonderful.
Trade a PG for a better PG who's also younger and will have
far more sustained succeed. Remove a wing player to open up spots for Jaylen
Brown and Jayson Tatum to grow. Trade a Nets pick, a team slowly improving, for
a Lakers one, a team remaining stagnant. It was perfect and once again showed
[–]MartyConlon 2 points 21 hours ago
Also get rid of Zizic as he may be from a shit hole country
[–]hailmamba 7 points 1 day ago
I absolutely despised it and i’m not even gonna lie. I
thought the Nets pick was overkill and always underestimated the abilities of
Kyrie. TBH i thought Isaiah was better than Kyrie, but I’m very happy with
Kyrie’s performances this season. There have been times, however, where he
would try to take super contested shots when a teammate was open. I also like
he’s really embraced his role as a leader.
[–]HorsNoises 1 point 14 hours ago
TBF IT was better than Kyrie last year, but obviously is
older and shorter.
[–]eaglesoup 2 points 11 hours ago
IT had a better season, that doesn't necessarily mean he was
better. IT was in a more ideal situation for his skillset than Kyrie was for
欧文入队也四个多月了，大家对这边交易怎么看呢？ 是不是觉得其实老外想法跟咱们也差不多啊 Xd
