The Old Trafford giants would see their record-breaking £750m kit deal with adidas cut by 30 per cent, a loss of £22.5m.
The 10-year contract stipulates that no Champions League football for two seasons running will result in the cut. Last season United qualified only for the Europa League.
United would also miss £60m from Champions League TV revenues and prize money.
United would cut VIP and hospitality season-ticket prices by five per cent should the club fail to finish in the top four, which would cost £3m.
