Yes he is the leader that we need
Noah is exactly what this team needs. Absolute no brainer.
Say if we don't land Hortford, Whiteside, & etc...
I wouldn't mind picking Noah up
i would love to have him splitting minutes with capela for the right price
If he is cheap. Why not.
if he wants real money - pass
I definitely wouldn't mind him as a cheaper replacement for Dwight. Someone you can't ever question giving their effort and energy
I'd take him at a reasonable price
This dude has all the intangibles - lot of heart, hustle, energy and passion.
He is a leader and a true voice. He wouldn't stand up for any shenanigans. This team desperately needs someone like Joakim Noah
If he could ever get healthy, a front line of Noah, Motiejunas and Capela, Trez would be high effort and high intensity all game...
As far as decline he was never really that talented. Primarily works with an extremely high energy and motor with good bball IQ. Imo can still very much be serviceable as a big still. But obviously at a reasonable price for a 31 yr old.
Morey did try to trade for him last season. After the injuries I don't know how much interest still exists.
High BB IQ, great passer, plays with fire. He's just so often injured.
If the contract is reasonable ("reasonable" by 2016-17 standards) and doesn't hurt us in signing other players....well, I wouldn't rule him out.
If he is confident in himself, he'll sign a cheap 1 year deal and prove his worth. similar to what Rajon did in Sacramento.
I would go after him. Under valued right now, has the the perfect motor, and Capela insulates us against injury problems.
However, we have a hole at PF and need to strengthen other positions so I'm not sure there's enough money.
Demeanor-wise he's the complete opposite of Dwight, so he's got that going for him.
I hope we do give him a serious look, assuming he isn't planning to reunite with Thibs in Minny.
I don't particularly want noah but I read somewhere that he and horford wanted to play together (they played for Billy Donovan at florida). Id be down for a show me 1+team option on noah if it meant getting horford too. Along with Brewer wed have recreated most of those Florida teams...
Wasn't he an MVP candidate like 2 or 3 seasons ago?
Also, I wouldn't mind having his sister at the games
We need to get younger, not older.
Capela has made Noah obsolete
No declining stars, please.
Houston already has way too many of these types, enough with injury-prone, worn out, 30 + years old role players. We need more athletic, young blood on this team.
I love intangibles but if I had to pick one out of the two, I'm going with tangibles
I've thought about him. The Rockets LOVED Joakim Noah in his prime... but he's coming off a terrible season. What's the price? Is he in full decline or can he rebound from last year? I haven't watched him enough this past season to know.
in other words, he is the aging injury-riddled center to replace our other injury-riddled aging center.
Thibs ruined his body. He's damaged goods.
Said the same thing about Deng and he had a great year for Miami.
his role diminished this year under Hoiberg's first year. but at the same time his shoulder injury did cut his season short.
Not sure how much is left, huge risk so I wouldn't pay too much and I'm sure he wants a great deal.
I think we should try to save some cap space for next season. The list of free agents in 2017 is stronger
Even though he was a great hustle player, he lacks post skills and the physical length gifts to play a certain way. 'Current Sample' Biyombo would have embarrassed Noah.
I mean I wouldn't mind him but I really want to ride with Capella. He has so much potential and the fact that he can step out and guard makes him so valuable. We have way more pressing needs elsewhere
