Talked to Bev The Other Day...
Not sure if he's angry with things that are
going on with the franchise considering the abysmal, underachieving season we
just had. But I work with somebody who knows his uncle, and we met Bev &
his uncle the other day playing Dominos and I asked him how he and the Rockets
He said he's gone.
No more details than that.
Thought this was thread worthy. I'm willing
to share this info I have whether it be true or not because I feel as if
Clutchfans deserves to know what I've "learned"
Bev and Ariza both likely gone this summer.
回复：I don't see why, I think it would be ideal for both to be moved to
back up positions, I mean with the cap increase both are on backup role player
contracts anyways. Both stretch the floor and play defense, why not keep
3&D players on fair contracts for depth?
回复：You just said why. They are backup players on a great team. But
unfortunately for us they represent about half the players we have on the
roster that have some positive trade value. Bev, Ariza, Capela, Harrell, and
DMo are about the only guys we can trade for at value without taking back long
term salary or including an asset on our end to move them. And their trade
value will decay into the next season as they move towards expiring contact
status while aging past 30.
He's signed until 2019
Its not even up to him lol
Trade Bev for 1st rd pick so we can draft
Zhou Qi aka Jerry Lin's cousin. Les gonna get his money from Chinese and we get
a second shot at a poor man's Yao.
回复：Bev won't get us a first rounder.
We may need to clear Bev/Ariza just to have
enough cap for one free agent if Dwight opts in.
Then again "I'm gone" could also
mean "pass, I can't play". Therefore it would be the next persons
We're probably getting Conley? I think Bev
believes he has earned the starting pg position and doesn't like the fact that
the Rockets are constantly looking for his replacement at the starting
position. We are at win now at all means necessary. If bev wants out and we get
Conley then I'll take it.
Maybe he wants out?
Considering we are likely going to gut the
roster it's common sense anyone could be "gone".
Did he think Pringles was gonna get hired?!
回复：I didn't want to push my luck and piss him off by asking more
questions. I abruptly thanked him and left
Clutchfans has been going wild with the
sources of sources - sources lately
回复：Except Bev is the source this time and I received the info first
I love Bev. This team needs five more guys
like him. Shame.
Can't have Beverly leading a D'Antoni
Everyone is expecting big changes this
summer. I suspect many of the players think they will be gone. But everyone is
just guessing at this point. Even the players.
回复：Yea that's fair
He probably don't even know tbh
Hope Bev is gone.
His defence vanished, and has an uncanny
knack for fouling at the end of a quarter....
Don't know how he would know he is gone
Damn, everyone hates the Rockets now
My uncle on my mom's side is Tupac and my
great great great grandfather on my dad's side was Andrew Jackson.
I know James Harden's friend of a friend
He told me that Durant will re-up with OKC
to continue playing with Westbrook next season but in the 2017-18 season all
three of them plan to come to Houston to get the band back together again.
I've spoken to him before too, he used to
live across from my friend's house when he was up in Pearland. I asked him
about the chemistry issues while he was heading out with his crew in their
Escalade (it was dumb) but he kinda just threw it off but the mannerisms said
yeah! Another post with info from a friend
of a friend of a player.
Does everyone here know someone on the
Rockets? No wonder we suck this year. The entire team is out mingling with the
Am I the only posters on Clutchfans.com
that is not a friend of a player on the Rockets?????
I aint got not sauces. Confirmed
Who cares, he acts like we actually won
something with him. He should feel fortunate to have sign such a good contract.
Suspect on both ends now!
I don't see PatBev going anywhere , he's a
very good compliment to Harden .... and on a very cap friendly deal.
Could happen , but I just don't see it.
Some people can't read. Anyways thanks for sharing
op. I won't believe you 100 percent, but I do see Beverley feeling that way
about the team and his situation. Beverley has a ok contract and would be a
good backup on a team.
Good, I hope he does leave. He's a low IQ
player and we already have too many of those on this team. He doesn't even
guard anybody anymore, his only "defense" is to annoy people... which
hardly works btw.
Lin to Houston confirmed.
I don't get it though, like others have
mentioned it would be weird for him to know unless he's getting traded like
tomorrow. No trades are guaranteed months ahead of time, and with free agency
being such a big uncertainty why in the world would the team tell him he is
Doesn't make sense unless he demands a
trade. We just signed him to a new deal.
If we get pringles, our starting point
guard is going to be run n gun. Writing is on the wall for patbev.
Maybe its an indicator for a starting pg
like Conley or Rondo coming.... but i dont trust the source. too much bs on the
About damn time. He was the worst starting
PG in the league the last couple seasons. Can't dribble, can't create, can't
pass, can't drive, no vision, overrated D, zero creativity, when his 3 is off
which is often since he's no marksmen he's virtually worthless. Oh and to top
it all off he's very injury prone and seems to get hurt in the most critical
Sounds harsh but it's true. Nothing against
Bev and I salute him for making it his far with a severely limited skill-set
and natural talent but hard work only takes you so far. Wish we could keep him
as a backup at 10-15 mpg but this move will be for the better.
I don't doubt that he thinks he is gone
this Summer, but from a fan perspective we know he's under contract till 2019,
and Morey won't move him if the deal isn't right.
That being said, in exit interviews after
they were eliminated, Morey probably was pretty clear with everyone except for
Harden that prepare for the roster to see major change. We love you but don't
take it personally when your traded this Summer.
So players like Bev, Ariza, and Brewer have
had several weeks to have that sink in and are probably preparing themselves
and their families to be on the move this summer/fall.
So this isn't shocking at all to hear him
say although he has no control over that at all and as fans we have to assume
this is the roster we have to judge the team by. Can't make assumptions.
Yeah but come on, he's not opting in...but
anyway, let's assume he's opting out...how possible is a scenario where we sign
three max players? Is there a single chance that if we put ourselves in the
position to sign three guys to form a big 4 team they'll be ok in taking a
small paycut to make it work without gutting the roster?
Let's say they're ok in taking a 20x
instead of a 25?
that's a total of 78, add Capela, Beasley
and we're at 81 if i'm not wrong, still 11 millions of cap space...for Llull
and one/two decent bench guys shouldn't be enough?
Is this scenario too much of a dream?
plus a couple of vet min...
Houston would have probably had a lot
better shot if.. OKC had lost like they were supposed to (or as expected), to
All roads lead to Durante.
